Two massive explosions and open-firing within 24 hours of each other hit two major cities in protest of the Pakistani military offensive in Swat Valley.

1. 27th, Lahore, Punjab. Open firing and car-bomb detonated. 30 dead; 250 injured.

2. 28th, Peshawar, N.W.F.P. Two bicycle bombs exploded in a busy marketplace. 8 dead; 100 injured.
